The use of ELTs is encouraged, but not required.
Control Points and Airspace
We will use the same turnpoints for both classes. The control point and airspace files have not changed since last year' s Region 5 contest.
We also have available an excerpted version of the special use airspace file. The MOAs have been removed from this file.
Scoring the 13.5 Meter Class
As an informal experiment, we will score the two classes together (using handicaps) on the days that they get the same task. This exercise will have no official status, and there will be no award for the "combined" winner. The purpose is to gain experience with the new FAI 13.5 meter class.
