Welcome

Bermuda High Soaring is pleased to welcome you to Jefferson, South Carolina for the 2010 combined 1-26 Championships and World Class National gliding competitions.

Site

The contest will be held at the Bermuda High Soaring School (SC79) in an area fondly referred to as "Flat Creek" in Lancaster County,  South Carolina.  Flat Creek is near a little town called Jefferson, SC. Bermuda High Glider Field is an hour south of Charlotte, North Carolina and an hour north of Columbia, SC.  Click here for driving directions and here for an airport diagram.  The contest area is mostly flat and features small towns, farms, and quarries and a gold mine! The entire contest area is on the Charlotte sectional chart. Our clubhouse has WiFi.

Dates

The contest will run from June 1 through June 10, 2010, with practice days on May 30 - 31.  For exact dates for each contest see the schedule page.

Entries

Pilots entering the World Class Nationals must meet the requirements summarized here.  Waivers are possible; contact the Contest Manager. The experience requirements to enter the 1-26 Championships are given in the rules.

The deadline for preferential entry is April 15, 2010.  A $100 deposit secures your entry position.  Click here for the complete fee structure.
